Laurie O'Brien, LPC-S, NCC
I bring 23 years in education to my practice. I have had the opportunity to work with children in grades PK-12th, along with their families. I am the proud mom of two sons and one daughter. I have a granddaughter, with my second arriving in September.
My passion for helping moved me beyond school and I began using my LPC over a year ago. I have thoroughly enjoyed adding family and couples therapy to my areas of expertise. Watching my clients grow week after week has been the highlight of my career. I'm very excited to offer my services to the community I love in a different capacity.
I believe in person centered, solution focused therapy that uses a partnership between the counselor and client. Together, goals are established that fit the individual needs of the client. I believe if the client has the tools they need, they will continue to see the successes of treatment for a lifetime. I'm also a parent of a beautiful daughter who has Downs Syndrome.
